Welcome to Linfield Oaks
Highly walkable to school, parks, and lively celebrations.
A quiet community near the northern edge of downtown Menlo Park, Linfield Oaks is a perfect suburban neighborhood with wide, tree-lined streets, dedicated bicycle lanes, high walkability to shopping, dining, and other entertainment, and a variety of beautiful real estate. Just next door to Burgess Park, Linfield Oaks underwent a great level of redevelopment after the turn of the millennium. Stunning Victorian, craftsman, and ranch-style homes represent different aspects of quintessential California-style architecture, each from various vital eras.
Oak + Violet invites patrons to experience California craft like never before. Local ingredients, airy settings, and a large outdoor courtyard are the perfect accompaniments to delectable comforts such as Dungeness crab toast, flavorful salads, and a stunning selection of bright, refreshing craft cocktails. An equally inviting outdoor patio feels worlds away at Son & Garden. This inner-city gem has come to Menlo Park and brought their captivating floral decor, colorful brunch, and proper afternoon teatime treats, making for the most Instagrammable bites in town. Son & Garden’s parent creation, Farmhouse Kitchen, is no different. An array of bold street food comforts proclaimed as Thai food’s new generation is their specialty, accompanied by fluorescent cocktails and an uptempo atmosphere. East meets west at British Bankers Club, a simplistic site offering contemporary versions of American staples, especially loved for their Saturday night rooftop lobster. During the summer, a decadent lobster dinner featuring live Maine lobster is enjoyed in northern California‘s perfectly temperate late summer climate, taking alfresco dining to new heights — literally!
Traditional Northern California alfresco dining is enjoyed at the family-owned and operated Cafe Borrone. Their hardworking staff prepares food from scratch daily, all made from organic and local ingredients. Loyal locals are particularly fond of their weekend brunch, featuring French toast topped with fresh strawberries, a smoked salmon plate, and veggie melts piled high with creamy California avocados.
Linfield Oaks primarily benefits from its adjacent proximity to Burgess Park. Spanning nearly 10 acres, the park consists of a pool, sporting fields, and a skating park, and this green space regularly holds events throughout the year. Arguably, their most popular would be the Menlo Movie Series in the park throughout the end of the summer each Friday night. Throughout the year, several churches in the community hold worship sessions and barbecue potlucks, open to all members of Linfield Oaks. A community that loves to come together is also fond of celebrating holidays in the company of loved ones and neighbors. Thanksgiving weekend pizza parties, Labor Day weekend block parties, and elaborate holiday light displays are regular parts of life in this ideal, friendly community.
Menlo Park City School District boasts several highly distinguished award-winning campuses. Just one example located near Linfield Oaks is Hillview Middle School. Hillview is a six-time California Distinguished School, a National Blue Ribbon School Award winner, and an Apple Distinguished School for their innovative use and exceptional training with Apple’s Mac systems.
